This Privacy Policy explains how LetterToLeader collects, uses, stores and protects information provided by users.
The platform may collect information voluntarily submitted by users, including name, pseudonym, email, phone, letters and contact messages. Technical information such as IP address, browser, device, language settings, access time and usage data may also be processed for security and operation.
Information may be used to operate the platform, publish submitted letters, process moderation, respond to inquiries, prevent spam and abuse, improve functionality and ensure security.
Users may publish letters under a real name, a pseudonym or anonymously. Anonymous publication does not prevent processing of technical information necessary for security and moderation. Optional author verification may collect email and phone only to confirm control of contact information. It is not identity verification.
The platform does not sell personal information. Data may be shared with service providers necessary for operation, where required by law, or where necessary to protect rights, safety or security. Users may request access, correction, deletion or restriction where applicable law provides such rights.
Email-only author verification
Optional author verification is performed by a code sent to the email address. A phone number and SMS are not required or collected for this verification. Verification confirms access to the email address and does not verify legal identity.
Author Privacy for Incognito and Pseudonymous Letters
In some countries, publicly expressing views about war or government actions may involve real risks. For letters submitted incognito or under a pseudonym, a special privacy mode applies: the author’s full IP address is not recorded in the server access log when the letter is submitted; the IP address is not stored in the letter database or linked to the published letter; no persistent browser identifier is created for the submission; only a temporary technical identifier is used to protect the platform from spam and automated attacks; this identifier is automatically deleted after three hours; and the letter is published only after moderation and once the three-hour period has ended.

Website analytics and cookies
Optional Google Analytics measurement is disabled until the visitor gives explicit consent. LetterToLeader does not send names, email addresses, phone numbers, letter text, author codes, contact-form text or the selected voting option to Analytics.
