Behind me is the White House. But what I want to talk about matters to people far beyond America.
If you could sit down and speak openly with the leader of your country, what would you say? What would you ask? What would you want them to change?
Each of us has an answer. Sometimes, it’s something we’ve talked about for years at home, with friends or neighbours. Yet that conversation never reaches the people making the decisions.
That’s why we created LetterToLeader.com. You can write an open letter or record a video appeal to any president, prime minister or monarch. Speak for yourself, your family, your colleagues—or an entire community.
Why choose LetterToLeader.com? We bring these appeals together in a public archive. Your letter or video will have its own page and a link you can share with other people and journalists. Your words won’t disappear tomorrow beneath a stream of new posts.
We will publish your appeal free of charge, regardless of your views. It simply needs to be an appeal to a national leader, without racial hatred, insults or content prohibited by law.
You don’t have to give your name. If you don’t want to show your face, you can conceal it or wear a mask. Speak in your own language. If you can, include an English translation or English subtitles, so people in other countries can understand you too.
We also have a special initiative called “Letters for Peace.” It welcomes people who want to address leaders with proposals to stop wars, protect civilians and begin negotiations.
I won’t promise that a president will answer. But your appeal will be published, and other people will be able to hear your voice and support you.
If you have something to say, we invite you to LetterToLeader.com.
